Patient Information
Fees
We are a private billing specialist clinic and do not receive government rebate on our facility and running costs. We do not bulk bill our consultations and procedures. We require payment on the day of the consultation. We can process your Medicare rebate directly to your account. We accept EFTPOS, Visa and Mastercard.
When you ring for appointment, our friendly reception staff will inform you of the consultation cost. Additional fees are applicable if minor procedures are performed on the same day (e.g. biopsies, injections, cryotherapy)
If you require surgical procedures for skin cancer or benign skin lesions, you will be provided with a quote after assessment in a consultation. The out of pocket fees vary depending on the complexity of the surgery.
Cosmetic consultations do not require a referral and there is no Medicare rebate for cosmetic procedures.
Veterans with DVA Gold will be fully covered for all the cost of consultation and treatment.
What are the fees for surgical procedures?
We perform a wide range of surgical procedures for skin cancer and benign skin lesions treatment. Following assessment and discussion in consultation, you will be provided with a quote for your surgical procedural fees.
For all patients with valid referrals and Medicare, you out of pocket fees may range from $150 to $550 depending on the complexity of the procedure.
Do I need a referral?
We are happy to see all patients with or without referrals (including overseas patients without Medicare).
However, we do recommend a referral from your doctor for the following reasons: (1) to enable clear and up-to-date communication between your local doctor and your specialist regarding your condition and care plan and your referring doctor would receive our ongoing medical reports and (2) to be eligible for Medicare rebate a valid referral letter from your doctor is required. This will need to be updated every 12 months (or every 3 months if the referrer is a specialist).
What are the fees for laser and cosmetic treatment?
We are not able to publish all our cosmetic treatment pricing online. This will be discussed when you undergo consultation with our doctor.
Will my appointment be on time?
We strive to minimise the waiting time for your appointment. Medical appointments however are different from other appointments, and more complex problems and urgent procedures can put doctors behind schedule.
We advise patients to allow for an hour of time in case there is a delay or you require extra treatment/procedure when attending your appointment.
Please ring our friendly receptionist in advance to check if our specialist dermatologist is running on time.
